FOUNDING OF HYPERNOVA ROBOTICS

The Hypernova Robotics FIRST Robotics team was founded by the former principal of the Science Academy STEM Magnet, Carlos Lauchu. Motivated by aspirations of providing Science Academy students with multidimensional engineering opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom, he set the foundation for our team, even being the first to propose the name 'Hypernova.' Mr. Lauchu’s support was pivotal during our pre-rookie year, during which we were able to take the time to establish ourselves as a cohesive team, including our subgroup formation, team branding, and other aspects. Deliberately taking this extra year of preparation has allowed our organization to grow into a defined team culture, ensuring we enter our rookie year as a disciplined group of students eager to thrive in the competitive stage of FIRST.
