Ventura County District event

On the weekend of March 14–15, 2026, Team HYPERNOVA Robotics had the opportunity to compete in the Ventura County District Competition, our first official in-season event in the FIRST Robotics Competition. The competition was hosted at Ventura College and marked a major milestone for our team.

This event gave us our first real experience competing alongside other teams in a high-energy and fast-paced environment. Being able to apply everything we had worked on, collaborate with alliance partners, and adapt throughout matches helped us better understand the demands of in-season competition and how we can continue to improve.

During the event, we were selected as part of the 5th-seeded alliance alongside Sea Kings Robotics and Titanium Robotics. Working together allowed us to build connections, strengthen our teamwork, and gain valuable insight into competitive strategy.

Although our alliance finished in 5th place, the experience was incredibly rewarding. We are especially proud to have earned the Rookie All-Star Award, recognizing the hard work, growth, and potential of our team throughout the season.

We are grateful for the opportunity to compete, learn, and grow through this event as we continue our journey in FIRST Robotics.
