Coding Camp

Over the summer of 2025, our team hosted a camp that allowed middle schoolers of the Science Academy STEM Magnet to cultivate their technical skills, allowing them to understand basic principles of mechanical design and learning programming applications in robotics. During the first week, students were taught how to use basic tools and produce various iterations of designs as they continuously rebuilt robot drivetrains. In week two, we guided the students as they programmed their drivetrains and wrote autonomous software. Our curriculum not only taught students how to build and program robots, but it planted a seed for them to continue their passion in engineering.
